Welcome to The Dark Portal, we offer you a free place to play World of Warcraft, with a great community, and a group of staff members that actually give a crap!

We have been told that because we actually give a crap, and we fix quests etc. that we are an exception within the WoW private server world. At first we did not believe that, but it really seems that way!

TDP first started out as Got-Root (.nl), and Got-Root was launched in November 2007. In December 2008 the original owner left Got-Root, and Got-Root was transformed into The Dark Portal, and we have been running ever since.

The TDP staff that are responsible for fixes consists of people that actually play the game, that level their chars the same as you, this gives them an invaluable insight into any issues. All the staff play a part in fixxing any issues raised in game whether that be database fixxes or simply adding missing NPC's or making an NPc 'talk' to you, and we are very proud about that.

The Staff and the Players both contribute to the success and continuing growth of this server. Our servers have an amazing uptime, with no lag, and a huge amount of fixed quests, with new fixxes being implemented all the time.

Our realmlist is logon.thedarkportal.net, and at this moment we run version 3.1.3
